BC Lions at Edmonton Elks odds, picks and predictions

The BC Lions (5-3) and Edmonton Elks (1-7) meet Sunday for a Week 10 battle at Commonwealth Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (CBSSN/TSN/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the BC Lions vs. Elksodds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.
The Lions returned from a Week 8 bye with a stunning 25-0 loss at Winnipeg in Week 9, coming nowhere near covering as a 4.5-point favorite as the Under (49.5) cashed. The Lions have allowed 20 or more points in 6 straight outings, while the Under is 5-2 in the past 7 contests.
The Elks opened the season 0-7 straight up (SU) and 3-4 against the spread (ATS) in the first 7 games, but Edmonton finally picked up its 1st victory of the season at Saskatchewan in Week 9, 42-31. It won outright as a 4.5-point underdog, cashing the Over (48) for the 2nd straight outing. It’s the 1st time the total has gone high in consecutive weeks for the Elks this season.
BC has won 8 in a row in this series since 2021, and the Lions are 7-1 ATS in that span, while the Under has cashed in 4 of the previous 5 meetings. That includes a 24-21 win in Vancouver back in Week 4, although the Elks were able to grab the cover in that outing as a 6.5-point underdog. The Under (53) cashed, too.
BC LIONS (+106) are worth a look in this road contest, whether or not starting QB Adams is able to suit up.
The offense looked dismal last week against Winnipeg before he left with a hyperextended knee in the 4th quarter. If he is unable to go, BC should still have enough to take down the Elks (-128), maintain its dominance in the series.
BC Lions +1.5 (-110) doesn’t make much sense to play, unless you’re dead-set on Edmonton -1.5 (-110) winning, but only by a single point.
If you like the Lions, just play them straight up on the moneyline for a much better value.
PASS.
UNDER 48.5 (-110) might be the best play on the board in this final battle on the Week 10 CFL schedule.
BC was blanked in Week 9, and it has cashed low on the total in 2 in a row, and 5 of the past 7 outings. The Under is 3-1 in the past 4 games on the road, too.
For the Elks, while the Over is 3-1 in 4 home games this season, the Under cashed in the first meeting with the Lions in Week 4.
