Jake Paul: 'I'm going to enter the 2028 Olympics for boxing'

Jake Paul plans on taking part in the 2028 Olympics for boxing.

Team USA’s lone medal in this year’s Olympics for boxing came courtesy of Omari Jones, who won a bronze medal after losing to Uzbekistan’s Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev in the semifinals of the men’s welterweight division in Paris.

Paul, an honorary coach for Team USA, deemed the result a robbery.

“Absolute robbery. Omari Jones won every round of that fight with ease. Can’t believe boxing sometimes… sh*ts a real shame.”

Paul announced that he has now added an Olympic gold medal in boxing to the list of his goals.

“I’m going to enter the 2028 Olympics for boxing in Los Angeles,” Paul said on his YouTube channel. “I’m sick and tired of waiting for another gold (medal) for Team USA. I’m not retiring. I probably just added a couple of years onto my boxing career because of that. Los Angeles, United States, sick as f*ck. I’m going to do it, why not? 2028 Olympics, you heard it here first, Gold medal, you’re mine, brother.”

In his most recent outing, Paul (10-1) stopped Mike Perry in Round 6 of their cruiserweight fight in July. His next assignment comes Nov. 15 against boxing legend Mike Tyson.

Before he aspires to chase Olympic gold, Paul wants to realize a championship in boxing first.

“Being a world champion is first and foremost, and then second is a gold medal,” Paul said.
