Michigan football just got its highest-rated wide receiver commit since the 2017 recruiting cycle with four-star Andrew Marsh pledging to the Wolverines. As the 17th commit in the 2025 class, long gone are the days where rival fans are able to point to the maize and blue’s recruiting ranking as being way behind the pack.

With the addition of Marsh, Michigan once again has two wide receiver commits (the Wolverines lost three-star Phillip Wright, who flipped to LSU) in the 2025 class as he joins Louisiana four-star Jacob Washington — another four-star.

Here is where Michigan now ranks with 17 commitments in 2025.

Looking specifically at 247Sports, the Wolverines moved up three spots from No. 15 to No. 12. With a 92.01 player average ranking, the maize and blue are No. 9 in the country behind teams like Oregon (1), Alabama (2), Ohio State (3), Clemson (4), Florida State (5), Georgia (6), LSU (7), and Auburn (8), but is also ahead of Texas, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Miami, USC, Oklahoma, and Penn State.

Michigan still is looking to add to the class, with the big fish being five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola and four-star linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng. The Wolverines had been looking to add another receiver in four-star Jerome Myles, but he recently eliminated the maize and blue from his top contenders and Utah looks to be his favorite.
