Tennessee announces uniform combination for season opener

Tennessee will kick off its 2024 football season in nine days.

The Vols will host Chattanooga at Neyland Stadium in Week 1. The in-state matchup is slated for 12:45 p.m. EDT on Aug. 31. SEC Network will televise the contest.

Tennessee enters the matchup leading the all time series, 40-2-2, dating to 1892. Chattanooga defeated the Vols in 1905 and 1958.

On Thursday, Tennessee announced its uniform combination for the Chattanooga game. The Vols will wear Smokey Grey uniforms against the Mocs.

The Vols debuted Nike Smokey Grey uniforms on Oct. 10, 2015 against Georgia at Neyland Stadium. The Vols defeated Georgia, 38-31.
