Notre Dame is trying to flip two 2025 wide receivers, both offered Thursday night

Unfortunately, some of Notre Dame football’s top 2025 wide receiver targets have opted to play at other places over South Bend.

It hasn’t been all bad news, as the Irish still have commitments from Elijah Burress, and Jerome Bettis Jr. The need for a third is obvious, as on Thursday night, two new offers went out to committed prospects.

First it was California’s Jace Brown , a massive 6-foot, 4-inch and 200-pound target. While he’s currently committed to UCLA , the Notre Dame offer could make he reconsider his options, as that is now his best offer. Brown is ranked as the nation’s No. 748 overall prospect and 112th wide receiver according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings .

Just a few hours later, it was Texas’ Jalen Cooper receiving the good news. At 6-foot, 2-inches and 165-pounds, he’s ranked as the country’s No. 256 overall prospect by 247Sports . Just last month, Cooper committed to SMU, but unlike Brown, he had a very solid offer list before making his decision.

It’s clear that the Irish believe that they will need to flip a wide receiver prospect in the 2025 class to fill the open spot. Both would be solid additions to Notre Dame’s class, but they will have to make up ground late in the process.
