The Jacksonville Jaguars (2-0) and the Atlanta Falcons (0-2) meet in Week 3 of the NFL preseason at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (NFL Network/NFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Jaguars vs. Falconsodds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.
The Jaguars are unbeaten in the preseason, topping the Kansas City Chiefs 26-13 on Aug. 10 as a 2.5-point favorite, while pounding the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20-7 on Aug. 17 as a 3.5-point favorite. The Under has cashed in both outings.
The Falcons have dropped both outings, falling 20-13 on the road against the Miami Dolphins on Aug. 9, while getting edged by the Baltimore Ravens 13-12 on Aug. 17, although they covered as a 2-point underdog. The Under has hit in each preseason game, too.
For Atlanta, rookie QB Michael Penix Jr. will not play in the preseason finale, as coach Raheem Morris has seen enough. In addition, QB Kirk Cousins is also sidelined, as he continues to make his way back from an Achilles injury. That means QBs Taylor Heinicke and John Paddock will again hold down the fort.
Moneyline (ML): Jaguars -320 (bet $320 to win $100) | Falcons +260 (bet $100 to win $260)
Against the spread (ATS): Jaguars -7 (-110) | Falcons +7 (-110)
Over/Under (O/U): 35.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Jaguars at Falcons picks and predictions
Prediction
Jaguars 20, Falcons 12
The Jaguars (-320) are a good bet to get the job done in this preseason battle, but there is no way you can risk more than 3 times your potential return. It’s not a recommended wager anytime, but especially in a preseason game, and especially for a road team.
PASS.
The JAGUARS -7 (-110) are worth playing lightly. Jacksonville has won each of its preseason games to date, while covering both outings, too.
The Falcons +7 (-110) are starting Heinicke, while using Paddock for a sizeable chunk of the game, so they really cannot be trusted. Atlanta has split against the spread in its 2 preseason games, both on the road.
UNDER 35.5 (-110) is a slam-dunk play in the preseason finale for each of these teams.
The Falcons have averaged just 12.5 PPG in 2 preseason games, while allowing 16.5 PPG, cashing the Under in both outings.
The Jaguars have averaged 23.0 PPG in the 2 preseason victories, while allowing just 10.0 PPG, going low on the total in each of the wins.
