Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds sat out Friday’s practice with an Achilles issue, coach Sean Payton announced. Payton indicated it’s not a serious injury.
“He’s doing well,” Payton said when asked about Reynolds. “Today, he felt a lot better. He’s got some wear and tear on one of his Achilles. He’s fine, we just kind of backed off. But today he was much better.”
After eight injured players were held out last week, most of the team’s non-starters are expected to be healthy and available to play in Sunday’s preseason finale against the Arizona Cardinals.
That includes safety Brandon Jones (hamstring), who could suit up this weekend after sitting out injured in the first two preseason games. Payton also indicated cornerback Levi Wallace (hamstring) could return this week.
Elsewhere on the injury front, linebacker Drew Sanders (Achilles) and safety Delarrin Turner-Yell (ACL) remain on the physically unable to perform list. They won’t play on Sunday.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Aaron Rodgers’ next snap in a game for the New York Jets will come almost exactly a year since his last. Coach Robert Saleh announced Thursday that Rodgers and the rest of the Jets’ starters will not play in the preseason finale against the Giants on Saturday night. The 40-year-old Rodgers tore his left Achilles tendon on his fourth snap in his debut with the Jets last year on Sept. 11 against Buffalo. He said Tuesday he didn’t “really have a preference” as to whether he played in the preseason finale, which will be the Jets’ final dress rehearsal before the opener at San Francisco on Sept. 9. With Saleh’s decision, none of the Jets’ projected starters will have played in any of the preseason games.

During a wild appearance on the Another Dooley Noted Podcast, former college football coach Steve Spurrier made some very inaccurate claims about his pick to win the SEC. 
Spurrier predicted Alabama to take the SEC this fall, which is totally fine and understandable. However, his reason was… a bit flawed.
However, he said he’s a fan of “Jalen DeBoer” (a combination of quarterback Jalen Milroe and new coach Kalen DeBoer) and claimed that the team plays Texas early this season (there is no Texas game on Bama’s schedule in the regular season).
For what it’s worth, Spurrier also said he thinks Florida will win nine games this year, which, y’know, you can understand why since he coached there.
