The Wisconsin Badgers’ Camp Randall stadium will include four new enhancements on game day for the 2024 season.

While Camp Randall, which will play host to seven opponents during the Badgers’ 2024 regular season slate, is nearly 110 years old, this batch of improvements is as futuristic as ever.

For starters, Wisconsin’s videoboard, which sits above the frenetic student section, received an LED renovation during the offseason. The newest installation will allow its onlookers to absorb enhanced visuals regardless of lighting conditions. Whether it be an 11:00 a.m. CT kickoff or primetime matchup, the videoboard will illuminate advertisements, statistics scores and much more throughout the contest.

UW’s turf also received a revamp prior this season. Camp Randall’s Barry Alvarez Field now sits atop a heating system under the gridiron. To adjust to the new technology, the field’s crown is 10 inches lower.

With hopes of hosting a College Football Playoff match, the surface will allow its participants to excel in the final month of the year in a brutal winter environment.

Additionally, attendees can now purchase alcoholic beverages during home games and access their fully digital tickets through the Badgers App.

Fickell and Co. will begin their postseason quest with Western Michigan at Camp Randall on Aug. 30. Wisconsin will also host South Dakota (Sept. 7), No. 5 Alabama (Sept. 14), Purdue (Oct. 5), Northwestern (Oct. 19), No. 8 Penn State (Oct. 26), No. 3 Oregon (Nov. 16) and Minnesota (Nov. 29) this fall.
