Ravens DC Zach Orr reveals who can make up for departure of Jadeveon Clowney

The Baltimore Ravens lost a plethora of veteran talent during the 2024 offseason. While many name homegrown talents such as Patrick Queen and Geno Stone, the team lost players who only had a short stint in Baltimore, namely pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney.

When new Baltimore defensive coordinator Zach Orr was asked which players on his current roster could replace Clowney’s near-ten sack production, he rattled off a list of multiple players. He talked about guys like David Ojabo, Kyle Van Noy, and Odafe Oweh.

“I think the production can be made by a lot of those guys. [There are] a lot of candidates in that room, specifically. Obviously, you’ve got David Ojabo, and we’ve got Kyle Van Noy back, which helps out. ‘Daf’ [Odafe Oweh] – we expect him to have a big year. ‘T-Rob’ [Tavius Robinson], Malik Hamm … I mean, [there are] a lot of guys. But I don’t think the production just has to come from that room. You mentioned Travis Jones earlier. [Justin] Madubuike, Michael Pierce, ‘Broddy’ [Broderick] Washington … That whole front, the [linebackers], blitzes … I think we can make that production up in a lot of different ways.”

Baltimore will need to find pressure from multiple sources in 2024, especially after the team broke the franchise record in sacks with 60. Plenty of younger players will need to step up, especially with a steady presence like Clowney now with the Carolina Panthers.
