TV, kickoff time set for Georgia football's home opener

The Georgia Bulldogs host the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in Week 2 of the 2024 college football season. Georgia will look to continue its lengthy 25 game home winning steak in its home opener. Georgia has not lost at home since the 2019 season.

The Georgia-Tennessee Tech game is scheduled to be played at 2:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 7. The game will be televised on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.

Georgia opens the college football season against the Clemson Tigers on Aug. 31. Tennessee Tech, who is a member of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), begins their 2024 season against Middle Tennessee on Aug. 31.

Tennessee Tech is coming off a 4-7 season is does not have much of a chance to beat Georgia. The Golden Eagles could make things interesting for a quarter or a half, but fans should expect for Georgia to run away with this one. The Bulldogs should have a chance to play a lot of freshmen against Tennessee Tech.
