The entire sports world was blown away by Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter’s ironman performance in Thursday night’s season-opening win over North Dakota State,

Patriots’ second-year cornerback Isaiah Bolden was no different.

He had his eyes glued to the television screen as Hunter hauled in seven receptions for 132 yards and three touchdowns on offense, while also allowing only three catches for 18 total yards on defense, per Pro Football Focus.

Bolden played with Hunter at Jackson State under coach Deion Sanders. The Patriots’ 2023 seventh-round draft pick took to social media to give his former teammate a shoutout for his incredible performance.

“TRAVIS [expletive] HUNTER THIS [expletive] AINT NEW,” Bolden posted on X.

Depending on how the season goes, the Patriots could be in a position to draft Hunter in 2025. They desperately need a receiver, and they could use another corner. It’s hard to envision Hunter playing on both sides of the football as consistently in the NFL as he does in college.

But what he’s doing now is completely unheard of.

The offensive line might be the bigger concern for the Patriots.

Still, it would be hard not to consider drafting an exceptional talent like Hunter, who is a legitimate unicorn in college football.
