Fans react to LSU's season-opening loss to USC

LSU couldn’t pass its first test in the 2024 season, losing to USC on Sunday night in Las Vegas 27-20 after the Trojans successfully capped off a game-winning drive with a 13-yard touchdown from Woody Marks.

Despite the offense accounting for over 400 yards in an efficient regular season starting debut for quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and the defense showing signs of improvement, especially up front, USC still outgained LSU with nearly 450 yards of offense.

It was a disappointing loss, especially in a game the Tigers were driving with a chance to win in the final minutes. With LSU losing its fifth-straight season opener, here’s how fans, media, former players and others reacted.
