The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks open their seasons Sunday. Kickoff from Lumen Field is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET (NBC/Peacock). Below, we look at Broncos vs. Seahawks odds from BetMGM Sportsbook before making our expert NFL picks and predictions later in the week.

The Denver Broncos head into the 2024 season with low expectations, having some of the worst odds to win the Super Bowl (+15000 at BetMGM Sportsbook) or even the AFC (+8000). Rookie QB Bo Nix will have a tough time adjusting to the NFL, especially with a shaky offensive line outside of OT Garrett Bolles and OT Mike McGlinchey. After trading away WR Jerry Jeudy, Denver’s offense doesn’t offer much firepower, with Adam Trautman still at tight end.

The Seahawks are heading into 2024 without Pete Carroll at the helm for the first time in 14 years. After a rough season despite having talent across the board, Carroll was let go, and now it’s up to new coach Mike Macdonald to get things back on track. Macdonald, who was the defensive coordinator for the Ravens, is known for running a top-tier defense, but he’s facing a tough schedule and the challenge of getting all those star players to gel, especially on the defensive side. It could be a rocky start, but there’s hope Macdonald can bring some fresh energy to the team.

    Broncos at Seahawks head-to-head

Denver fell 17-16 to the Seahawks September 12, 2022, in then-Broncos QB Russell Wilson’s return to Seattle. K Brandon McManus missed a 64-yard field goal in the final seconds for Denver, and Seattle covered as 4.5 point underdogs as the Under (41.5) hit.

The Seahawks have dominated recent meetings, winning 4 of the last 6. These games have also been high-scoring, with the Over hitting in 4 of the 6 meetings. Both teams have shown the ability to put up points in this rivalry, making the Over a trend to watch in future encounters.
