ESPN updates Michigan football win chances for remaining 2024 games after Week 1

So, the good news and the bad news. The good news? Michigan football is now supposed to beat at least one team it wasn’t favored against in the preseason. The bad news, Weeks 2 and 14 are going to be uphill battles for the Wolverines.

ESPN updated its FPI ratings after Week 1 and its reflected in the weekly matchup predictor. The maize and blue struggled offensively but were dominant on defense but with No. 3 Texas coming to town, it’s going to be tough sledding. What’s more, the love-in with Ohio State has continued after Will Howard found Jeremiah Smith — often — down the field.
