When Texas and Michigan meet at mid-field for the coin toss before the much anticipated clash in Ann Arbor Saturday, the Wolverines will have a special guest.

MLB Hall of Famer Derek Jeter will be an honorary captain for Michigan. Jeter grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan and has been a long-time Wolverines fan.

The 5-time World Series champ was offered a scholarship to play baseball in Ann Arbor in 1992, but decided to go pro when he was drafted by the New York Yankees.
