Pro Football Focus ranks Notre Dame higher than either major poll

The US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Poll’s were released on Tuesday with Notre Dame not making much of a move north after defeating Texas A&M .

It was a different story at Pro Football Focus, its power rankings following Week 1 they have the Irish at No. 3. Max Chadwick and Dalton Wasserman compiled the list, and they watched Notre Dame hold their top 2025 quarterback prospect, Conner Weigman, to a career-low 28.0 PFF passing grade.

While the other polls had Notre Dame ranked high, there weren’t many other teams across the country that had a better Week 1 win than the Irish.

While I don’t always agree with PFF’s power rankings, I surely do with these. Hopefully the coaches and AP polls will catch up in the near future.
