The Kansas City Chiefs are only a day away from opening the 2024 season and raising their hard-earned Super Bowl LVIII banner.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid addressed the things that run through his mind to open a new season and matchup vs. the Baltimore Ravens during Tuesday’s press conference.

“I’m curious to see what we’ve got. I mean, that’s always – I think that’s probably with every player, every coach, every fan, (and) every media person,” said Reid. “(They’re) curious to see what you have and how you handle everything. That’s the best part about it. We will see how it goes.”

Reid is the Chiefs franchise leader in coaching wins, quickly climbing the league’s all-time leaderboard. He is well aware of Baltimore’s offensive weapons but acknowledges the other facets of the game.

“Yeah, we’ll see what goes (on). I’m not sure what to anticipate or expect, but we’ll see how it all works out,” said Reid. “You’ve got two good special teams going against each other, plus (Ravens Head Coach) John’s (Harbaugh) got a ton of experience there, so we’ll just see how it goes.”

The Chiefs hope to avoid repeating last season’s opener when they lost to the Detroit Lions. In that game, they were without two Pro Bowlers (Chris Jones and Travis Kelce) and are expected to be at full strength this Thursday.
