Michigan State has a new director of basketball operations.

247Sports is reporting that Michigan State has promoted Andrew Henk to the role of director of basketball operations. Henk was with the Los Angeles Lakers before joining the Spartans as the assistant director of basketball operations last year.

Henk was once a student manager for Michigan State basketball before working his way up to a pair of positions in the NBA. He was first with the Detroit Pistons as an equipment intern and then promoted to a full-time assistant equipment manager during the 2018-19 season. From there he took a position with the Lakers as the head equipment manager from 2019-2023.
