ESPN “College GameDay” analyst and college football expert Kirk Herbstreit considers the Georgia Bulldogs to be one of his seven top performing teams ahead of Week 2.

Georgia earned a big 34-3 win over the Clemson Tigers in Week 1. The Bulldogs face a weaker foe in their Week 2 game against Tennessee Tech.

Herbstreit also considered Georgia defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann as one of his best performing coaches. The Bulldogs held Clemson to just 46 yards rushing and under 200 yards of total offense. Georgia handed Clemson the Tigers’ biggest loss since 2013.

Herbstreit also considers the USC Trojans, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Miami Hurricanes, Boston College Eagles and Vanderbilt Commodores to be his top performing teams of Week 1.

USC got a massive 27-20 win over the LSU Tigers on Sunday. Notre Dame won by 10 points at Texas A&M in what should be one of their most challenging games of the year. The Miami Hurricanes crushed the Florida Gators 41-17 in The Swamp. Boston College got their season started right with a big day on the ground en route to a victory at Florida State. Vanderbilt knocked off Virginia Tech in overtime to earn one of their best (and only) wins in recent memory.

I really don't see how Ohio State could have performed better.
