The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (2-0, 1-0 ACC) and Syracuse Orange (1-0) meet at JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET (ACC Network). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Georgia Tech vs. Syracuse odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Yellow Jackets shook up the college football world with a 24-21 upset at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, over then-No. 10 Florida State. It cashed as a 10-point underdog that day, and it rolled to a 35-12 win over Georgia State last week at home in the 1st-ever meeting between the Atlanta schools.

The Ramblin’ Wreck covered as 20.5-point favorites, and the Under (54.5) cashed for the 2nd time in as many games. QB Haynes King was very efficient, going 24-of-29 for 275 yards, 2 TD and 1 INT against the Panthers.

Syracuse picked up a 38-22 win over the Ohio Bobcats, just narrowly missing the cover as 17-point favorites. Former Ohio State QB Kyle McCord was outstanding, throwing for 354 yards and 4 TDs in the win.

Georgia Tech at Syracuse picks and predictions

    Prediction

    Georgia Tech 31, Syracuse 24

GEORGIA TECH (-137) isn’t priced out of line, if you’re a little more on the conservative side, and you don’t want to fiddle around with the points in this ACC road game.

The only concern with backing the Yellow Jackets is fatigue. In the past 2 weeks they’ve been across the ocean, back to Atlanta, and now to Upstate New York. That’s a lot of travel in a short span.

Back GEORGIA TECH -2.5 (-118) laying the little bit of points, if you’re a more traditional bettor.

While the fatigue factor is certainly as issue, as the Yellow Jackets have been racking up a lot of Delta frequent flyer miles lately, they should be able to take care of the Orange.

Syracuse +2.5 (-104) was impressive against Ohio offensively, yes, but it should have trouble moving against a better Ga. Tech team. And, the Orange were squeezed for 22 points by an Ohio team which is expected to be middle of the pack in the MAC this season.

The UNDER 61.5 (-114) is the strongest play in this ACC battle.

The Yellow Jackets have cashed the Under in each of their 2 games to date, and the defense should be able to throw a blanket over McCord’s receivers, not allowing him the freedom to do the things he did with ease a week ago against the Bobcats.

The Orange will likely have some issues trying to shut down King, but he can be his own worst enemy sometimes, committing turnovers in key moments. That’s what we’re banking on here.
