In an interview with Packers Radio Network, Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur said he is “very concerned” about the injury suffered by quarterback Jordan Love during Friday night’s season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, but the team is still awaiting more testing.

The game was played in Sao Paulo, Brazil, so Love and the Packers have a 10-hour flight home to Green Bay, where more testing on the injury can be completed.

LaFleur spoke with Larry McCarren of the Packers Radio Network following the 34-29 loss to the Eagles.

“I don’t know. We’re waiting. Obviously very concerned about it. We’ll wait to find out when we do more tests,” LaFleur said.

Love was injured while lateraling the ball to Josh Jacobs on the third-to-last play of the game. He got hit in the side of his left leg, near the knee area, and his left foot got caught under the mass of bodies.

Love needed assistance getting off the field, and Jacobs and a team trainer helped Love to get back to the locker room.

When asked about the injury in his post-game press conference, LaFleur said nothing more than, “I don’t know.”

“We don’t know the severity of his injury, but hopefully he’s OK,” Jacobs said.
