One of the Alabama Crimson Tide’s top uncommitted defensive targets in the 2025 class has now officially made a decision at to where he will play college football, as Ty Jackson officially committed to the USC Trojans on Sunday.

Jackson had interest from numerous major collegiate programs across the country, which included Alabama, and held nearly 30 offers.

A four-star linebacker, Jackson is considered as the nation’s No. 95 overall player in the 2025 class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Jackson is also ranked as the No. 13 linebacker in the class, as well as the No. 15 player in the state of Florida where he attends Seminole Ridge High School.

The Crimson Tide’s 2025 recruiting class still ranks as No. 2 in the nation, with Alabama holding a total of 20 commitments. Included in that group are four linebackers that include five-star Darrell Johnson, as well as four-star prospect’s Dawson Merritt, Abduall Sanders Jr., and Luke Metz.
