Kickoff time announced for Week 4 game between Vols and Sooners

Tennessee will play at Oklahoma on Sept. 21 in Week 4. The contest is a Southeastern Conference matchup after the Sooners joined the league in July.

On Monday, the SEC announced kickoff times for Week 4 football games. The Tennessee-Oklahoma game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EDT and will be televised by ABC.

The game will mark Josh Heupel’s first time playing the Sooners as Tennessee’s head coach.

Heupel won the 2000 BCS national championship as Oklahoma’s starting quarterback.

He was a co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Oklahoma from 2011-14. Between 2006–10, Heupel solely oversaw the Sooners’ quarterbacks.

Heupel launched his coaching career in 2003 as a graduate assistant at Oklahoma.
