    Cardinals injury report: QB Kyler Murray has a knee injury

    Eyebrows were raised Wednesday afternoon when Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was listed on the team’s first injury report on Week 2 with a knee issue. He practiced fully, but nothing was mentioned during media availability by Murray or head coach Jonathan Gannon.

    Only two other players were listed. It’s important to note that reporting rules are based on 100 percent of normal reps in team drills. The details are below.

    Arizona Cardinals Week 2 Wednesday injury report

    Did not participate

    CB Max Melton (concussion)

    The second-round pick went into the protocol during Sunday’s game against the Bills. It’s not known how serious it is and whether he will be cleared in time to play Sunday against the Rams.

    Limited participation

    WR Xavier Weaver (oblique)

    The rookie undrafted free agent was inactive against Buffalo because of the injury, but returned to the practice field Wednesday.

    Full participation

    QB Kyler Murray (knee)

    Whatever Murray is experiencing is not believed to be serious, Teams are required to put anyone on the injury report that receives treatment in the days after a game.

    • G Kevin Dotson (foot)
    • CB Cobie Durant (toe)

    Limited participation
