Courtland Sutton says Broncos need to save themselves (and they can)

Following a 13-6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, the Denver Broncos are now 0-2 ahead of back-to-back road games on the East Coast. If the Broncos are going to salvage their season, they need to get back on track quickly.

“We can’t let this train continue to roll the way that it’s rolling,” wide receiver Courtland Sutton said Sunday. “We have to find a way to put it back on track as quickly as we possibly can so that we put ourselves in a better situation moving forward throughout the season.”

Sutton, a team captain, noted that no help is on the way. The Broncos need to save themselves, and Sutton believes they are capable of doing so.

“[W]e have to bounce back and go out there and get the opportunity again and put something else together,” Sutton said. “It’s on us to figure that out and to find a way. That’s the biggest thing — find a way. We have to find a way.

“There is no — no one is going to come save us — it’s only us. As people have said before, the boats have been burned. It’s literally us. After training camp, once the roster got made, this is us. This is all we have, this is all we need. We know that we have what we need in this locker room and we will get it figured out.”

Up next for Denver is a road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, followed by a road game against the New York Jets. It would be extremely difficult to bounce back from an 0-4 start, so the next two weeks will be pivotal for the Broncos.

Broncos problems far deeper, than , the players on the field. The Broncos problems starts from the top, and their front office. their inept decision making. unfortunately, this season will be repeat of last, if not worse.
