The Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) travel to meet the New Orleans Saints (2-0) at Caesars Superdome in Week 3 on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). The Eagles suffered a terrible collapse Monday night in Week 2, falling 22-21 against the Atlanta Falcons. Philadelphia was driving, looking to salt the game away, up 18-15. The Eagles were at least much better defensively than Week 1 in Brazil, a wild 34-29 win over the Green Bay Packers at Arena Corinthians. And, to be fair, Philadelphia was without WR A.J. Brown (hamstring), and he is likely to miss Week 3, too.
The Saints piled up a 44-19 win on the road against the Dallas Cowboys, coming on the heels of a 47-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in the opener.
The Saints are the 3rd NFL team to score 30 or more points in the 1st half in each of their 1st 2 games of the season, joining the 1968 Oakland Raiders and 2001 Indianapolis Colts. New Orleans is the 5th team to score 44 or more points in the 1st 2 games. It also accomplished the feat in 2009 when it won the Super Bowl with QB Drew Brees.
