4 best NFL games to watch during Rams' Week 6 bye

The Los Angeles Rams are off in Week 6 for their bye but there are still plenty of intriguing games taking place on Sunday afternoon and Monday night – some that could even impact the Rams’ playoff hopes.

Looking at the slate of games this weekend, these are four of the best ones for Rams fans to watch while their team is out of commission in Week 6.

Commanders at Ravens: 1 p.m. ET

This game probably didn’t look like a marquee matchup before Week 1 but the Commanders have quickly become one of the most exciting teams in the NFL thanks to rookie sensation Jayden Daniels. And with Lamar Jackson on the other side, it’s an incredibly fun game for even casual football fans who don’t have a rooting interest.

This game is unlikely to have any sort of playoff implications for the Rams unless Washington is battling Los Angeles for a wild-card spot, so root for whichever team floats your boat. Or just kick back and enjoy the show.

Cardinals at Packers: 1 p.m. ET

The Cardinals probably aren’t as good as their 41-10 win over the Rams or as bad as their 42-14 loss to the Commanders. They’re somewhere in-between, but no matter what, they’re a good team to watch because Kyler Murray makes plays that very few quarterbacks can make.

They’ll face the Packers on Sunday afternoon in what could be a high-scoring game between two potent offenses. Both teams are likely to be in contention for a playoff berth late in the season so the Rams would rather neither side win, but if one team does have to leave with a victory, they’d prefer if the Packers did.

Lions at Cowboys: 4:25 p.m. ET

This is a rematch of the wild Week 17 game between these NFC foes when the Cowboys stole a win after officials ruled that Taylor Decker didn’t report as eligible before a two-point attempt that would’ve won the game for Detroit. Though Dallas has not had much success on offense this season and the defense is an absolute mess, this is still a fun matchup between two contenders in the NFC.

It’s very possible the Lions could absolutely light up the Cowboys’ defense but Dallas is much better at home so it should be a fun game no matter what.

Bills at Jets: Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET

The AFC East has nothing to do with the Rams but this is still a good game to cap off Week 6 on Monday Night Football. The Bills look like one of the best teams in the AFC despite losing their last two games to the Ravens and Texans, while the Jets are going into their first game since firing Robert Saleh.

It’s common for teams to play better immediately after the head coach gets fired so we could see a rejuvenated Jets squad in prime time after a dreadful game against the Vikings in Week 5.
