Michigan State football is once again listed as an underdog in a big-time Big Ten matchup.

The Spartans are coming off a bye this week, and will host Iowa in prime time matchup from East Lansing, Mich. Kickoff between the Spartans and Hawkeyes is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. and the game will be televised on NBC.

Michigan State comes into this game at 3-3 overall and 1-2 in Big Ten play. After a 3-0 start to the year, the Spartans have dropped three straight games.

Iowa comes into this matchup with some momentum following a blowout win over Washington last week. The Hawkeyes are 4-2 overall and 2-1 in Big Ten play this year.

Michigan State vs. Iowa Betting Odds

    College football odds via BetMGM:

    • Point spread: Iowa -6.5
    • Money Line: Michigan State +180 / Iowa -220
    • Over-under: 41.5

    Advice and Prediction

This game feels like it’ll be very low scoring with a big play swinging it one way or the other. Because of that, I like the Spartans’ chances to cover, but do still think Iowa comes away with the win in the end.

    Prediction: Iowa 20-17
