He’s still just a high school junior, but Michigan football is clearly getting a good one in Jaylen Pile.

The 2026 Southlake (Tx.) Parish Episcopal three-star wide receiver made a case on Friday during his high school game that he should be ranked a bit higher. Pile committed to the Wolverines on Thursday and in his first game since becoming a committed prospect, Pile went out and made a play that looked awfully similar to one of his predecessors in Roman Wilson.

Though Wilson had made the impressive touchdown grab against the helmet of a Nebraska defender, Pile caught his touchdown cleanly, but still rose up and made the play, essentially, through the defender.

Parish did lose to the Jason Witten-coached Argyle (Tx.) Liberty Christian on Friday, 35-27, but Pile had a solid game in helping his school come back from a sizable deficit. He scored the final two touchdowns for Parish and finished with four catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns.
