After seeing a significant drop in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll earlier on Sunday afternoon, the Alabama Crimson Tide have now also fallen notably in the latest AP Poll as well.

Going into Knoxville ranked as the nation’s No. 7 team, Alabama lost to the rival No. 11 Tennessee Volunteers by a final score of 24-17, and as a result of this defeat, dropped eight spots in the Week 9 AP Poll on Sunday down to No. 15.

The Volunteers also rose as a result of their victory over Alabama, jumping four spots up to No. 7.

Now sitting at 5-2 overall for the season, as well as 2-2 in SEC play, this new No. 15 ranking for Alabama is certainly unfamiliar territory for the program, especially as we approach the month of November.

However, the good news is you don’t have to wait long for Alabama to have a chance to improve that ranking, as the Crimson Tide will play host to No. 21 Missouri on Saturday. Alabama will also travel to No. 8 LSU on November 9 after a bye week.
