On Thursday, the USC Football program revealed that both Bush's No. 5 and <a href="https://www.si.com/college/usc/football/former-usc-trojans-star-mark-sanchez-call-caleb-williams-first-nfl-start-tv-rookie-quarterback-heisman-watch" rel="nofollow"> Williams' </a> No. 13 will be retired. He had returned his Heisman Trophy after an NCAA investigation found that Bush received benefits from an agent. The dual-threat back also tore up PAC-10 defenses with 478 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He added a punt return touchdown to total over 2,218 yards from scrimmage. Bush was widely regarded as one of the top prospects in the 2006 NFL Draft, going second overall to the New Orleans Saints. Bush's electric running style aided the Saints to a postseason berth in his rookie season. Following five seasons in New Orleans, Bush moved on to the Miami Dolphins in 2011. His 11-year professional football career ended with stints in Detroit, San Francisco, and Buffalo.
