50107 Summerfest Concludes Today With a Full Day of Fun
Today Grand Junction will be on display with lots of entertainment. The 50107 Summerfest has several activities in the morning including a 5K run/walk, petting zoo and breakfast served by the Grand Junction Horizons Club. The parade is at 11am and includes Raccoon Valley Radio’s Lil’ Big Red Radio, followed by carnival rides and food vendors at noon, along with an ice cream social and bingo from 1-3pm at the First Presbyterian Church.

Natalie Griffioen to teach philosophy at Dordt
Natalie Griffioen has accepted a position as Instructor of Philosophy at Dordt University. Griffioen is completing her Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh. She received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to graduate school, Griffioen worked in human resources at the American Enterprise Institute, a public policy think tank in Washington, D.C. She and her husband, Paul, have relocated to Sioux Center from Berkeley, California.

BLUE HILL, Neb. (KSNB) - The Blue Hill Aquatic Center announced that they will be honoring the season passes of Hastings Aquacourt. Hastings Aquacourt closed on Wednesday following near drowning of a 13-year-old girl, who is part of a cultural exchange program from Japan. On Friday, city officials announced the pool would not reopen for the rest of the summer.
