Brickyard Park hosts Fourth of July festivities
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings residents gathered at Brickyard Park for a concert and fireworks on Thursday afternoon. There was plenty of food and dessert trucks for people to enjoy, and at 7 p.m. there was a concert from Nebraska’s own Rascal Martinez, and when the sun set the fireworks let up the sky.

OMAHA, Neb. — Omaha celebrated its 150th birthday in 2004 with a giant 1,350 sq. ft. cake and thousands lining up to grab a slice, including KETV's own Rob McCartney. The celebration started off like any other birthday party with singing "Happy Birthday," and while McCartney emceed the event, Mayor Mike Fahey and Omaha 150 chair Bruce Lawrenson took the honors of cutting the ginormous cake.
