ROME, N.Y. -- The Rome Victim Recovery Fund being distributed through the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties is now accepting applications. Rome residents impacted by the July 16 tornado, and who do not qualify for government assistance services, will be eligible to receive up to $5,000 to use toward, but not limited to, the following:

He announced last month that he’ll retire March 4 after a little more than three years at the helm of the New Hartford Central School District.
