Classic Car Parade Passes Through Sparta en Route to Milledgeville
Last week, admirers of classic cars were able to catch a glimpse of 150 hot rods as a parade passed through Sparta on its way to Milledgeville. The second annual National Collector Car Appreciation Day event saw its proceeds benefit the Georgia Sheriff’s Association Youth Homes, which is a residential care program that houses, feeds, and clothes abandoned, neglected, and abused children in a safe, nurturing environment.
Macon-Bibb’s New Library Annex Opens at Macon Mall
Middle Georgia Regional Library (MGRL) has opened its newest branch, the Library Annex, in Macon-Bibb. Located in the Macon Mall facing Mercer University Drive, the Library Annex aims to provide convenient access to library services and materials for the West Bibb community. This branch features three new study rooms and the first public meeting room in the county. Additionally, the Library Annex facilitates the processing of books distributed across seven counties in middle Georgia and throughout the PINES system.
