    City OKs $3K more per month for golf course group

    Uvalde City Council recently extended a contract for managing Uvalde Memorial Golf Course to P&D Consulting for an additional six months at a pay rate of $15,000 per month. The fee is a $3,000-per month increase from the initial agreement but was negotiated down from the firm’s request for $17,000 per month. Read more

    Lobos will vie in regional cross-country tomorrow

    The Uvalde Lobos will compete tomorrow in the Class 4A Region IV cross-country meet at Corpus Christi. Their race is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start. Coach Libby Gonzales’ Lobos recently placed third in the District 30-4A meet. They totaled 54 points to finish third behind Pearsall and Carrizo Springs in the team standings. Read more

    Lobos volleyball season ends Tuesday

    The Uvalde Lobos will close out their 2021 volleyball season Tuesday night with District 30-4A home action against the Carrizo Springs Lady Wildcats. Varsity action is set for 6:30 p.m. in Uvalde High School’s Harvey Kinchlow Gym. The varsity match will be preceded by a 4:30 p.m. freshman match and a 5:30 p.m junior varsity match. Read more
