Seasonal Hours Announced for Outdoor Pools
Laabs Pool and the East Mesa Bataan Memorial Pool will begin seasonal operating hours the week of July 29, 2024. Beginning July 29 and continuing through Sept. 2, both outdoor pools operated by the City of Las Cruces’ Parks and Recreation Department, will be closed Monday through Thursday. Dancers flock to Las Cruces for Arts Lab Desert Peaks, plan public performance
For the fourth year since its inception, Arts Lab Desert Peaks is hosting dancers from around the U.S. in a two-week workshop in Las Cruces. The workshop kicked off July 22, and will run through Aug. 3 when the public is invited to view two public performances. Chile teaching garden open for self-guided tours
The importance of chile pepper cultivation to the Mesilla, Hatch and Mimbres valleys are no secret. In Las Cruces, the public can get an up-close look at 140 varieties of chile peppers during growing season on self-guided tours of the quarter-acre Amy Goldman-Fowler Teaching Garden, part of New Mexico State University’s Chile Pepper Institute.
