PHOENIX — One of Arizona’s acclaimed journalists, authors, and advocate, Jana Bommersbach, has passed away at the age of 78. Bommersbach was born in Fargo, North Dakota, and studied journalism and urban affairs at the University of Michigan. In 1972, she moved to Arizona and started working for the Arizona Republic.
