A preliminary 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck about 4 miles west of Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles County at 3:09 p.m. Sunday, according to the USGS.The quake had a depth of about 8 miles, USGS reported. After nearly three weeks of concerted efforts by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the public, four brothers who vanished from Palmdale have been found safe. According to KTLA, the siblings, ranging from 2 to 5 years old, were located Saturday afternoon. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the children had last been seen on July 1 around 2 p.m. in the 800 block of East Avenue P-12 in Palmdale and were believed to be heading to the Mojave area in Kern County at the time they disappeared.

CAEATFA grants Archer approval for electric powertrain facility ramp-up
Archer Aviation Inc. (Santa Clara, Calif., U.S.) has received approval from the California Alternative Energy and Advanced Transportation Financing Authority (CAEATFA) for its ~$117 million project. This approval covers the planned expansion of Archer’s advanced manufacturing facilities in California, including the ramp-up of its electric powertrain facility, as it readies for commercialization of its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
