Over 200 bottles of alcohol seized from bootleg operation in Mission
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Authorities seized over 200 bottles of vodka, multiple firearms and around $1,000 from a bootleg operation on Friday morning. MO Lawsuits Accuse Catholic Leadership Of Abuse; Omaha Archbishop Implicated
Sixty people allege in new lawsuits filed in Missouri that they were abused as children by dozens of Catholic priests, nuns and others, and the man who now leads the Archdiocese of Omaha, Nebraska, is among the accused. Five separate lawsuits seeking unspecified damages were filed this week in St. Louis and neighboring counties. All told, the lawsuits name 56 alleged abusers. Among those named is Omaha Archbishop George Lucas. He is accused of abusing a teenage boy at St. Louis Preparatory Seminary in the late 1980s. Lucas strongly denies the allegations, saying in a statement that he has never had sexual contact with another person.
Deputies accuse two men of multiple thefts in northeast Nebraska
MADISON COUNTY, Neb. (KOLN) - The Madison County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men on July 19 on suspicion of multiple thefts. On May 31, a man reported a generator stolen from his business in Newman Grove. According to the sheriff’s office, the generator was recovered after another man traded his plasma cutter to 25-year-old Alexander Robak for the generator. It was later discovered that the generator had been stolen, and the second man returned the generator to its owner.
Fremont resident arrested for domestic assault
Fremont police were dispatched at about 8 p.m. Wednesday to the 2700 block of Skylark Street for a domestic disturbance. After completing an investigation, Dana Lorsch, 53, of Fremont was arrested and jailed for third-degree domestic assault.
