Suspect in Custody After Baby Found in Wichita Canal
A Wichita man is in custody after an 11-month-old baby is found in a canal near a Wichita interstate. Authorities in Sedgwick County say Vincent James Perez has been arrested in connection to a toddler found wandering alone in a canal near I-135 and Pawnee Street yesterday afternoon. The child was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation after being spotted by a driver. Vickie Wyant says she thought the child was a doll until she saw it move. Then she pulled over and called 9-1-1.

Shockers Set for Thanksgiving Hoops at Disney
WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State men’s basketball will spend Thanksgiving participating in the 2024 ESPN Events Invitational at the Walt Disney World Resort, Nov. 28-29. The four-team field features Florida (SEC), Minnesota (Big Ten) and Wake Forest (ACC) and the Shockers out of the American Athletic Conference. The Shockers are making their third appearance in the ESPN Events Invitational and first since 2015.
