Kansas felon accused of new drug violations
JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating two suspects including a Kansas felon on drug allegations. Just after 8:30a.m. August 25, a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop in rural Jackson on a Mazda pickup truck for a traffic infraction, according to Sheriff Tim Morse. The vehicle occupants were identified as Timothy Charles Krogman, 66, and William Joseph Stewart, 70, both of Sabetha.
Local Farmers and Brewers Work Together to Produce All Shawnee County Beer
Roger and Jason Hamm, fourth and fifth generation Shawnee County farmers, have collaborated with John Dean, Brewmaster, and Alvaro Canizales, Head Brewer, at the Blind Tiger Brewery, to produce a brand new beer never before brewed. It is called Shawnee County Golden Ale. John and Al, the brewing team at the Blind Tiger, are quite proud of how it turned out.
Event set to provide resources to folks living outside in Lawrence
Nearly two dozen service agencies and organizations will be present at an event to provide services to people and pets who are living outside in Lawrence. The City of Lawrence’s Homeless Response Team is hosting the second Integrated Outreach event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3 in the parking lot east of the Amtrak station at 413 E.
