Suburban Community Hospital nurses blast cuts to staff, services
EAST NORRITON – Suburban Community Hospital nurses braved sweltering temperatures on Wednesday to express their outrage with their out-of-state hospital owner. It’s not the first time nurses have spoken out against Prime Healthcare, of Ontario, Calif. Representatives from the Suburban General Nurses Association, affiliates of the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals, have blasted the California-based company for its practices surrounding staffing and the cutting of services since acquiring the East Norriton Township medical facility in 2016.

Jackowsky Earns Second NABC Honors Court Honor
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Penn College senior Max Jackowsky (Garnet Valley, Pa.) was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, it was announced Wednesday. It was Jackowsky’s second time receiving the honor. The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student men’s basketball players who finished the 2023-24 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The NABC’s academic awards include honorees from all levels of college basketball. Over 2,100 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court. Person rescued from under SEPTA train after falling on tracks on Broad Street line in Philadelphia
A person was rescued after getting caught under a train on the tracks of SEPTA's Broad Street subway line.The person fell onto the tracks and got caught under a train at the Allegheny Station.Crews were called to the scene just after midnight on Thursday.They had to cut the power to allow a rescue crew to get onto the tracks and pull the person out from underneath.Action News was there as medics rushed that person to the hospital.We are working to learn their condition and what caused the fall.
