    Roma received $800K in federal funding

    ROMA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The city of Roma is receiving over 800 thousand dollars in federal funding.

    Congressman Henry Cuellar, along with the North American development bank announced the funding today.

    The money came from two of NAD-banks assistance programs. Four hundred and fifty thousand will be used to buy a new landfill compactor. The rest of it will be uses to revamp the international suspension bridge.

    The bridge connects Roma and Miguel Aleman, Mexico. In order for upgrades to be made, Mexico requires a study to see what needs fixing.
