City of Elsa lifts boil water notice

ELSA, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — The City of Elsa announced Friday it has lifted its boil water notice for all residents.

City officials issued the notice Thursday asking residents to boil water prior to consumption including washing hands, washing face, brushing teeth and drinking.

The notice was due to a main water leak that has now been fixed.

“The public water system has taken necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes,” the City of Elsa announced.

As of Friday, the water no longer requires boiling prior to use.

The City of Elsa submitted water samples for bacteriological analysis from a certified lab.

According to Elsa city officials, all samples passed the test.
