    Brownsville Parks and Recreation to host community campout

    BROWNSVILLE, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — The Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting an overnight campout for people with disabilities.

    The event begins at 6 p.m. on Friday and ends at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Gonzalez Park, located at 34 Tony Gonzalez Drive.

    UTRGV extends hours in wake of financial aid deadline

    The event was created for attendees to make new friends while exploring the outdoors and enjoying other activities such as stargazing, kayaking and camping.

    Participants must be registered to be at the overnight campout and a parent/guardian must be present throughout the campout. Attendees must bring their toiletries, sleeping bags and pillows.
