BROWNSVILLE, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — A man who was found bloody and injured at Cameron Park on Tuesday was later arrested after authorities discovered he was wanted for two crimes, according to the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office.

Danny Perales, 29, was arrested on an active warrant for two unrelated offenses.

After suffering his injury, Perales was helped by Reynaldo Alvear Jr., 42, who was also arrested on an active warrant for an unrelated case.

A release from CCSO says Perales was helped by Alvear after he suffered a forearm injury on the 2200 block of Delia Avenue.

The injury was caused by Perales cutting his forearm on a piece of glass when attempting to close a broken window.

Perales was alone at the time of the accident and had blood all over himself before Alvear arrived, CCSO says.

Once at the scene, Alvear attempted to provide medical assistance to Perales and then drove him to his home nearby at the 2400 block of Delia Avenue.

Brownsville EMS and deputies responded to Perales’ home to provide further assistance, later revealing both men had warrants of arrest for previous unrelated cases.

According to CCSO, Perales had a warrant of arrest for assault and possession of marijuana.

Alvear’s arrest warrant was for an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon case that happened August 8.

Both men were booked into the Carrizales Rucker Detention Center for their active warrants without incident.
