San Benito CISD bus involved in minor accident

SAN BENITO, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — A San Benito school bus was involved in a minor traffic accident Friday morning, the district announced.

The San Benito Consolidated Independent School District and authorities responded to the accident on a major highway.

According to a statement from San Benito CISD, four students from Rangerville Elementary were on the bus at the time of the accident.

“The San Benito CISD Police Department, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and members of the district administration all responded and worked together to assess the situation for all students on the district bus, demonstrating our commitment to their safety and well-being,” the district said.

Safety and medical assessments were conducted on the four students riding the school bus.

No injuries were reported and all four students proceeded with their school day.

“San Benito CISD appreciates and thanks all the first responders who provided their immediate professional services to our students,” the district continued.
