    Semi-trailer accident causes power outages in Mission area

    MISSION, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — A downed power line is causing power outages in the Mission area, according to the Mission Firefighters Association.

    The power outage is affecting residents around Glasscock Road and 495 after a semi-trailer hit a pole, causing a power line to fall over.

    Mission firefighters, police and EMS personnel are at the scene.

    According to AEP Texas, 147 customers in the area were without power at 11:23 a.m.

    Crews are assisting Mission first responders to restore power in the area.

    Power is estimated to be restored by 3 p.m., according to AEP Texas.
