One dead in Brownsville overnight crash

BROWNSVILLE, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — Brownsville police are investigating a fatal wreck that occurred last night.

According to a news release from the Brownsville Police Department, the incident occurred at 10:41 p.m. at the 2300 block of South Frontage Road.

The driver, identified as 20-year-old Denis Joel Pineda, was driving a silver Infiniti when he lost control of the vehicle. Police say, the vehicle rolled over and was hit by a second vehicle.

No other injuries were reported. An autopsy and toxicology report have been ordered. Results from these reports are pending.
